Can someone find my exact house address from my IP?
No. IP geolocation databases are not that precise. They can usually identify your country, state, and city with high accuracy, but they cannot pinpoint your exact street address. Only your ISP has the billing records to match your IP to your physical house, and they require a police warrant to release that information.
Why does my public IP address keep changing?
Most residential internet connections use 'Dynamic IP' allocation. Because ISPs don't have enough IP addresses to give a permanent one to every customer, they cycle them. When you reboot your modem, the ISP takes back your old IP and issues you a new, random one from their pool.
What is an IP 'blacklist'?
If a specific IP address is caught sending spam emails or conducting hacking attempts, security organizations add it to a global blacklist. Many servers will outright block any connection originating from an IP on that list.
