What is HEIC?

HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is Apple's default photo format since iOS 11. It offers better compression than JPG but isn't universally supported on Windows, Android, or older apps.

JPG vs PNG output?

Choose JPG for smaller file sizes and photos. Choose PNG if you need lossless quality or transparency. HEIC files don't support transparency so JPG is recommended for photos.
