What is Depth of Discharge (DoD)?
DoD represents how much of a battery's capacity can be safely used without damaging its lifespan. Lithium batteries typically have an 80-90% DoD, while Lead-Acid batteries should only be discharged 50%.
Convert kWh to Ah at 24V?
To convert kWh to Ah (Ampere-hours), multiply the kWh by 1,000 and then divide by the system voltage. For example, 5kWh at 24V is (5,000 / 24) = 208 Ah.
Does the inverter efficiency matter?
Yes. Inverters typically lose 10-15% of energy during conversion from DC to AC. We recommend adding a 15% safety margin to your final calculation to account for this and cable losses.
